create your own cricut projects

Below are some projects you can create yourself. Included are the templates you need which you can then customise. The projects are created using a Cricut Maker 3.

Cricut pen holder

cricut pen holder

It is recommended that you store your pens with the nib downwards and I wanted the challenge of creating my own holder.

Project on Cricut Design Space

This pen holders holds 48 Cricut Fine and Gel pins tip down as recommended.

Finished size length 21cm, width 9cm and height 5cm.

It is made using Kraft board but you could use other card. I did try with Basswood but had issues cutting the pieces that hold the pens.

3D windmill card

The project is setup so you can either use the basic template and then decorate it as you would like. Alternatively the project includes print and cut to add detail.

If you use a paper fastener the sails of the mill move round.

organiser

I created this organiser to hold my glue gun and a section to hold a note pad or other useful tools.

Project on Cricut Design Space

There is a useful handle to to pick it up and move around.

Approximate size width 14cm, depth 5cm and height 14cm. Each section is 2.5cm.

It was created using Plywood Sheets, 300 x 200 x 1.6mm Unfinished Basswood Sheets Board for Woodcraft Model, Crafts, Painting, Engraving, Stenciling, Home Decor by Binswloo (purchased on Amazon). You don't have to use basswood, you could use Kraftboard or other thick card and multiply the layers to give you the thickness you need.

3D bottle card

This is a template to create your own bottle card. It does not include the inside decoration as these were done with dies for a Sizzix machine.

A strip of card is cut for each side and slides into the slits cut in the top part of the bottle. There are two pieces for each side and the strip is glued in between the side pieces.

3D globe card

The project gives the template to create your own globe card. It doesn't include the decorative insides as these were created using dies and a Sizzix machine. The front includes a circle you can cut from acetate but this is optional.

3D beer crate card

Created using a design by Amanda Mercer and the original design by Natalie Conway. I've adapted changing the bottles and adding a beer mug.

3D interactive sea fish card

Create your own interactive card.

Place one of the circles behind the front piece and the second directly above. Use a small adhesive sticky pad to connect the two. You may also need a dab of glue. Glue the main fish to the top circle and should be able to move it along the line.

Attach the front piece only at the top and bottom so the the main fish can be moved alone the line. If you want to give a more 3D effect then use sticky pads to raise the front piece.

You can other decorations and your own greeting to the card.
